DJI has introduced quite a few products in the last few months. However, images of the Goggles N3, a new FPV (First Person View) goggle that has not yet been unveiled but is highly anticipated, have leaked online for the first time. The new model is expected to be released as a more affordable and lighter version of the existing Goggles 3. Here are the details…
DJI’s new FPV goggle, Goggles N3, will be more affordable and lighter
According to information shared by Jasper Ellens, one of the reliable sources, Goggles N3 is designed to be compatible with DJI’s recently introduced Neo drone. Neo has a compact structure weighing only 135 grams and Goggles N3 is a goggle suitable for this lightweight structure.
It is said that the new goggles will have some limitations in some features compared to Goggles 3. Especially in order to keep the cost down, a few sacrifices have been made in terms of hardware. For example, Goggles N3 will come with a single screen instead of the dual screen found in Goggles 3.
It is also said to support OcuSync 4 (O4) video transmission technology. This technology enables low latency and higher resolution image transmission, which is a significant advantage in the FPV experience. However, the simplification of the hardware and the use of a single screen may result in a bulkier feel compared to Goggles 3.
With its lower cost, it will be suitable for use with lightweight and portable devices such as DJI’s Neo drone. Although the technical details of the goggles are not fully disclosed, Goggles N3 is expected to offer an ideal solution for users looking for an affordable and lightweight FPV goggle.
However, for users who want advanced hardware and dual displays, the Goggles 3 may still be a more attractive option. Although it remains unclear when DJI will officially announce the launch, the leaks have raised expectations. What do you think about this?
